The Junior League of Ann Arbor/Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Research Domestic & Dating Violence Prevention Endowment Fund

The Junior League of Ann Arbor/Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Research Domestic & Dating Violence Prevention Endowment Fund benefits the greater Ann Arbor community by providing a sustainable resource for the education and prevention of dating and domestic violence. The endowment is managed by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF) as an Advised Field of Interest Fund. This fund is not an operating fund endowment. Rather than providing general support to the JLAA, the income generated from this endowment goes directly to provide grant money to organizations that support domestic & dating violence programs.

The primary purpose of the Fund is to end violence against women and girls by supporting innovative, early intervention and prevention programs in the areas of domestic and dating violence. A secondary focus of this Fund is two-fold: to support programs that work with children who witness and, therefore, are the innocent victims of domestic violence; and to support batters’ intervention programs that hold perpetrators of domestic violence accountable for their actions.

In its history, the Junior League of Ann Arbor has granted out more than $30,000 to influence the prevention of domestic and dating violence.
