Promoting Nutrition, Creating Access

The Junior League of Ann Arbor is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

What are we doing?

Strong Moms Strong Girls

The Strong Moms Strong Girls Program aims to address the issue of relational aggression, a form of bullying which involves hurting someone’s reputation, feelings or relationships through gossiping, spreading rumors, exclusion and conditional friendship. The programs has several offerings including the Building Connections workshop, The Figuring out Friendships workshop, community presentations and school consultations on relational bullying. Through its workshops, Strong Moms Strong Girls brings together girls in grades 3-6 and their mothers/caregivers to gain an understanding of relational aggression, ways to cope with the issue and solutions for decreasing its impact.

Find out more information on upcoming workshops.

Kids in the Kitchen

Kids in the Kitchen began over 10 years ago to address the growing issue of childhood obesity.  In collaboration with our community partner, The Ann Arbor Hands on Musuem, we provide workshops throughout the year to promote healthy eating and lifestyles.  Register here for the next event on February 8th!
