Join us for a “Sip & SPAC” evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 18 at Standard Bistro & Larder. Tickets are $15 per person and include heavy appetizers and one signature cocktail. A cash bar will also be available, and members are welcome to register friends or family for this event.

We are thrilled to be joined for this event by Jean Doss, the lobbyist for MSC, who will provide an interactive presentation for attendees, including how she works with the Junior Leagues across Michigan, the impact of JL members’ advocacy over the last 30 years, a review of current SPAC advocacy issues, tips for effective public policy advocacy at the state level, and a couple of brief skill-building exercises.

Jean is a partner at Capitol Services, LLC, and has more than 24 years of experience as a governmental affairs consultant. Her specialties include appropriations, health policy, human services, education, environment, food policy, advocacy and leadership training. Her past work includes serving as an advocate for public utility consumers, violence victims, and women’s rights. Jean holds a degree from the University of Michigan.

Food and drinks will be available starting at 6:30 p.m., with the presentation beginning around 7 pm. We hope you can join us to learn more about how you can get involved with SPAC and advocate effectively for the issues important to you!
