Debra Urquart, President
Ms. Urquhart has been an active member of the Junior League of Ann Arbor for seven years. She is the former Vice-President of Community Services (2006-2007), and has also chaired the Hands Are Not for Hitting Committee. In addition to the aforementioned leadership roles, Ms. Urquhart has been a part of the Perry Nursery School committee, the New Member committee, the Kids in the Kitchen task force, and acted as part of the Nominating and Placement committee for two years. She has also been able to participate in many leadership trainings through the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). Ms. Urquhart is a clinical psychologist at Washtenaw Community College and is also very active in the Saline area PTA.
Holly Heaviland, President Elect
Ms. Heaviland has been an active member of the Junior League of Ann Arbor for five years. She is the former Chair of Nominating & Placement and the Hands Are Not For Hitting Task Force. In addition, Ms. Heaviland has been a part of the New Member committee, State Public Affairs Committee, and served as the Recording Secretary for the Board of Directors. She has also been able to participate in many leadership trainings through the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). Ms. Heaviland works in Educational Leadership at Washtenaw Intermediate School District and is the proud mother of three boys, ages 5, 3 and 1.
Christine Lammers, Vice President of Fund Development
As Vice President of Fund Development, Ms. Lammers is responsible for the fundraising activities within the League. Currently in her 6th year with the JLAA, her previous leadership roles include chairing two of the League's fundraisers: Sally Foster Gift Wrap Sales and Spring Zing- JLAA's 2007 Spring Fundraiser that partnered with Zingerman's in March of 2007 to raise over $22,000 for our community projects. Outside of Junior League, Christine works full time in Sales, is involved in her neighborhood association and with her children's activities. She and her husband Jonathan are strong supporters of the Washtenaw Chapter of Red Cross. Christine looks forward to broadening her volunteer efforts through the many projects sponsored by Junior League.
April Savage, Nominating Placement Chair
As Nominating Placement Chair, Ms. Savage serves as the Human Resources Manager for the JLAA. She is currently in her 5th active year. In past years she has served on: New member project, Poinsettia, Communications, Nominating Placement Committee, Nominating & Placement Asst. Chair. Ms. Savage is currently a full time mother of two children, Jack and Scarlett. Throughout the years, has had the opportunity to attend leadership trainings through AJLI and MSC training locally. These trainings have been beneficial to her League placements and will serve as stepping stones when she re-enters the workforce. She and her husband, Patrick, are longtime supporters of our local United Way and are currently serving on the Leadership Giving Committee.
Sarah Helmich, Vice President of Finance
As Vice President of Finance, Ms. Helmich oversees all financial aspects of the JLAA. Ms. Helmich has been active member of the Junior League for 4 years. Her previous roles within the League include being a group leader/teacher in the Hands Are Not For Hitting program at King Elementary. She was also on the Special Events Committee and following that, was Treasurer for JLAA. In addition to the Junior League, Ms. Helmich volunteers at King Elementary and is involved in fundraising for the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan.
Stacey Bodner, Vice President Community Services
As Vice President of the Community Services council, Ms. Bodner is responsible for overseeing outreach activities with our 2008-2009 community partners.
Shannon Campbell, Vice President of Membership Services
Dr. Campbell joined the Junior League of Ann Arbor in 1998 and is currently serving the Membership Services Council of training, arrangements, new member, corresponding secretary and sustainer liaison. Past roles include VP of Community Services (2007-2008), chair of CAPP (2006-2007), and member of the CAPP, New Member, Nominating Placement, Public Relations, and Gift Wrap committees. In addition to being trained by JLAA, she attended AJLI conferences the last two years. In addition to her community service with the League, Dr. Campbell is the mother of two and a dentist in Livonia.
Molly Bodenschatz, Vice President of Communications
As Vice President of Communications, Ms. Bodenschatz is responsible for all internal and external communications; including web, print and public relations. Currently in her third year with the Junior League of Ann Arbor. Previous positions held within the league by Molly were Chair of Training Committee and Strong Moms Strong Girls Community presenter. Molly works full time in healthcare sales and is involved in her neighborhood association.
