Shannon Campbell, President
Ms. Campbell joined the Junior League of Ann Arbor in 1998 and is currently serving as President. Her past roles within the League include: Vice President of Membership Services, VP of Community Services, chair of the Community Allocations and Project Planning Committee, and member of the CAPP, New Member, Nominating Placement, Public Relations, and Gift Wrap committees. Prior to her experience on the board of JLAA, Shannon served on the boards of the Stone School Cooperative Nursery and the Lakewood PTO. In addition to taking part in the personal and professional training opportunities offered by the Junior League of Ann Arbor, Shannon attended leadership trainings of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) and the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce Leadership Ann Arbor program. Dr. Campbell is the mother of two and a dentist in Livonia.
Stacey Bodner, President Elect
Stacey joined the Junior League in 2005 and is currently serving as President-Elect. Over the last five years she has served as Assistant Chair and Chair of The Strong Moms Strong Girls project, Community Service V.P and JL Board Member and Advisor on the Nominating and Placement committee. Stacey has now begun her tenure as President Elect in preparation for her taking the President’s post in May 2011. Outside the League she served on the PTO Board of the Zurich International School, in Zurich Switzerland while she and her family were expats on assignment with her husbands company. Stacey has been married to her husband Michael for 21 years and is mother of two; Matt -19 and a Sophomore at Miami of Ohio, and Caitlin - 17 a Senior at Community High School in Ann Arbor.
Katherine Watler, Vice President of Fund Development
Katherine Watler joined the Junior League of Ann Arbor in 2004 and is currently serving as Vice President of Fund Development. As VP of Fund Development, Ms. Watler is responsible for the fundraising activities within the League. Her past roles within the League include: Grants & Sponsorships, Future Fund Development planning, Nominating Placement, Arrangements, and Cookbook committees. Outside of the League, Ms .Watler is a committee member with The Event on Main and involved with the Kite Network. Ms. Watler is the mother of four year old twins and a one year old.
Molly Bodenschatz, Nominating Placement Chair
Molly Bodenschatz is currently in her fifth year with the Junior League of Ann Arbor. Previous positions held within the league by Molly were Chair of Training Committee and Strong Moms Strong Girls Community presenter. Molly works full time in healthcare sales and is involved in her neighborhood association.
Paula Rand, Vice President of Finance
Paula joined the League in 2003. She has served on the Arrangements, SPAC and Special Events commitees. In addition she was Texas Hold 'Em Co-Chair, Poinsettia Chair, Sustainer Liaison and Bookkeeper. Now, as V.P. Finance she is responsible for accounts payable and budgeting. Within the community she has served as President of the U of M Conger Alumnae Group and the S.E. Michigan Women Business Owners Organization. Paula works as bookkeeper part-time at the NEW Center as well as running her own Jana Kos trunk show business. Her grown children pursue careers in Architecture and Mechanical Engineering, one in Toronto and the other in Brazil.
Sarah Ekern, Vice President Community Services
As Vice President of the Community Services council, Sarah Ekern is responsible for overseeing outreach activities with our 2008-2009 community partners.
Jen Parker, Vice President of Membership Services
Elizabeth Martin, Vice President of Communications
Elizabeth Martin joined the Junior League of Ann Arbor in 2008 and has previously served as Chair of the Communications Committee. As Vice President of Communications, Elizabeth is responsible for all internal and external communications; including web, print and public relations. Elizabeth has lived in Ann Arbor for her entire life where she currently works as a Realtor.
Ryan Pfahl, Corresponding Secretary
Ryan Pfahl joined the Junior League of Ann Arbor in 2008 and has previously served as Assistant Chair and Chair of Membership Development. As Recording Secretary, Ryan is responsible for providing the League with a written historical record of all meetings. Ryan lives in Ann Arbor and works in sales operations for a software company.
Debbie Beuche, Co-Sustainer Advisor to the Board
Ms. Beuche is currently a co-sustainer advisor to the Board. She joined the JLAA as part of the first provisional class in 1982/83 when the Ann Arbor Junior Service League first began. Past JLAA Board positions have included Nominating/Placement Chair, Treasurer/Finance Chair, By-Laws Chair and leadership of several early league projects. Since becoming a Sustainer in the early 1990’s, she has served on many community boards including the Ann Arbor Art Association, Ann Arbor Symphony, UM Theater Associates, and U of M Conger Alumnae group. Ms. Beuche has also been actively involved as a volunteer at numerous organizations and schools and served as president of the parent association at Greenhills School and worked for many years on their auction. Ms. Beuche is the immediate past chair of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation and currently serves on the board of the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County.
