New Membership Responsibilities

A. Attend all Provisional meetings and general membership meetings. Provisionals should contact their Membership Development Advisor prior to or shortly after a missed meeting.

B. Meet with her Membership Development Advisor in the personal placement interview and participate in additional interviews throughout the year as needed.

C. Participate in and meet all obligations of the Provisional course. Provisionals will become Active upon the recommendation of the Membership Development Committee and approval of the Board of Directors and will be recognized by the membership at the next general membership meeting with the understanding that outstanding requirements will be completed by the end of the League year.

D. Financial exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Membership Development Chair and the Finance Council Vice-President. Failure to meet the financial obligations of the League shall be cause for removal from the membership.

E. There will be no refund of the Provisional course fees or Provisional membership dues after the date specified below.

F. REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO FALL NEW MEMBERS:

1. Support fund development activities by selling or purchasing a minimum of $50 from League fundraisers, including but not limited to giftwrap, poinsettia, cookbook or ticket sales to the Special Event and general donations to the Junior League of Ann Arbor.

2. Contribute a minimum of eight (8) volunteer hours toward Done In A Day activity.

3. Timely payment of membership dues of $131 at the beginning of the Provisional year.

4. There will be no refund of the Provisional course fees or Provisional membership dues after October 1st.

G. REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO WINTER NEW MEMBERS:

1. Support fund development activities by selling or purchasing a minimum of $25 from League fundraisers, including but not limited to giftwrap, poinsettia, cookbook, ticket sales to the Special Event and general donations to Junior League of Ann Arbor.

2. Contribute a minimum of four (4) volunteer hours toward Done In A Day activity.

3. Timely payment of membership dues of $65 at the beginning of the Provisional year.

4. There will be no refund of the Provisional course fees or Provisional membership dues after February first.
