Our Mission - The Junior League of Ann Arbor, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Community Highlights

Strong Moms, Strong Girls
Creating Healthy Female Relationships Strong Moms, Strong Girls is a collaborative effort with the University of Michigan Center for Child and Family to address the growing problem of young female aggression by helping mothers and daughters become more capable to deal with situations as they arise, as well as helping area schools address it more comprehensively and effectively. read more
Done In a Day
In addition to our signature projects, the JLAA selects many community projects each year to support with volunteer hours. These efforts are both large and small, and include such projects as collaborating with Safe House for Domestic Violence Awareness month, delivering meals to the Ronald McDonald House and to shut-ins with the Meals on Wheels program. read more
SOSSOS Community Services
SOS Community Services responds with care and respect to families in need by working in partnerships that result in economic, family, and residential stability.  The JLAA – SOS partnership focuses on 3 initiatives: providing emergency food and personal hygiene items, promoting childhood literacy, and the development and execution of parenting programs and play groups. read more.   

Girls Group
For more than five years, Girls Group has developed self-sufficiency in teenage girls in the Ann Arbor area from high risk, disadvantaged backgrounds.  This alliance of women is dedicated to helping high school girls achieve emotional and economic security through expanded educational and professional opportunities. The Junior League of Ann Arbor is collaborating with Girls Group to provide educational and mentoring opportunities to members of Girls Group. read more
